Board of Managers
The Board of Managers of Innovations, LLC dba Avocare is made up of business leaders with expertise in management, law, finance, engineering, marketing and manufacturing. They are all highly successful and have achieved recognition at a national level in several businesses.
- Donny Barstow - Donny Barstow is currently president of Municipal Code Corporation Innovations (MCCi). MCCi, a subsidiary of Municipal Code Corporation (the nation's leading codifier for local governments), has provided Electronic Records Management solutions since 1998.
Mr. Barstow: has a Management Information Systems B.S. from Florida State University, and an MBA from University of Florida. Donny spends most of his time at municipal conferences and conducting educational workshops and webinars. Donny has been employed with MCC since 2000 and has 7 years of experience in document imaging and records management with Municipal Governments. In addition, Donny is the Founder of TYEO where he focuses on leadership development within our Community.
- Dr. Lonnie Draper, CEO - Dr. Lonnie Draper is CEO of Avocare. He remains a practicing Emergency Physician at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, and is an associate professor in Emergency Medicine for the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Draper's current civic involvement includes acting as the Medical Director for the Refuge House sexual assault nurse examiner program and is a member of Leadership Tallahassee.
He produced his first medical software project in 1982. He has maintained an expertise in medical information management for the last 25 years. As Vice President of Emergency Medicine at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital he implemented many information exchange solutions, including a full suite of Emergency Department software developed by his company Innovations, LLC. He developed the HEIC disaster plan for a major medical institution while directing the Leon county EMS system.
He obtained his MD from the University of Miami, and completed a residency in Internal medicine at a Johns Hopkins Affiliate, Sinai Hospital, in Baltimore.
- Christopher Eldred, Manager - Chris Eldred, a native Floridian, joined the Avocare Board of Managers on January 1st, 2007. Mr. Eldred is President and Managing Partner of TeligentEMS LLC and has served since 2002. From 1999 to 2002 he simultaneously held both the Divisional President and CIO posts for Mercury Electronic Manufacturing Services LLC. From 1982 to1999 he was the founder and President of NRT Corporation.
Mr. Eldred is an active supporter of the Challenger Learning Center and serves as Secretary - Treasurer. He is a graduate of Florida State University, and a member of the Talltech Alliance, IPC, Electronic Industry Association and the SMTA.
- Michael Kramer, Manager - Michael Kramer is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Desloge Home Oxygen, a medical supply company in Tallahassee. He is formerly the COO and CFO of Walls Industries, a leading manufacturer and marketer of work and outdoor wear. Mr. Kramer is also the former CFO of SuperLube, Inc.
Mr. Kramer received a Bachelors (BCE) and Masters (MSCE) Degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
- Lawton Langford, Chairman - Lawton Langford is President and CEO of Municipal Code Corporation (MCC). MCC is the nation's leading codifier of local government ordinances, and serves more than 3,000 cities and counties in 48 states. The company is considered a leader in publishing (electronic and hard copy) loose-leaf documents. Mr. Langford also serves as Managing Director of MCCi, LLC, a subsidiary of MCC that offers document and agenda management technology to its local government client base.
Mr. Langford also serves on the Board of Premier Bank in Tallahassee, which he helped to organize in 1994 and currently serves as Vice Chairman.
Mr. Langford's current civic involvement includes serving on the Tall Timbers Research Station and the United Way of the Big Bend Boards; and as a member of the FSU School of Information Studies Board of Advisors. He will Chair the United Way campaign for the eight-county area in 2007.
Mr. Langford attended Vanderbilt University, graduating in 1979 with a double major in Economics and Business Administration. His post-graduate degrees are a Juris Doctor from the FSU College of Law and a Masters of Business Administration from the FSU College of Business, which degrees he received in 1982. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
He has been happily married for more than 20 years, has a son and a daughter, and is a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
